Which One Do I Need?
A short version, in case you already know the symptom.
- The upstairs is unbearable in August, attic. Usually blown-in if it is just short of depth, or spray foam on the roof deck if you want the attic inside the conditioned envelope.
- The floors are cold all winter, crawl space insulation.
- There is a musty smell, or the hardwood is cupping, that is moisture, not heat. Crawl space encapsulation.
- The metal building sweats and drips, commercial spray foam, closed cell, bonded to the panel.
- New construction, walls open, cheapest time to do it properly. Spray foam or fiberglass batt depending on budget and assembly.
