Metal buildings are the hardest thing in Middle Tennessee to keep at a working temperature. Steel conducts heat straight through, the panels sweat when warm inside air meets a cold skin, and a fibreglass blanket sags off the purlins within a few seasons. Closed-cell spray foam bonded directly to the panel solves the insulation and the condensation in the same pass.

Why Closed-Cell on Metal
The condensation is usually the real complaint, not the temperature. Humid inside air hits a cold steel panel, drops its moisture and drips onto whatever is stored below. Insulating the panel does not fix that if air can still reach the steel.
Closed-cell foam is sprayed straight onto the underside of the panel and bonds to it. There is no gap for air to reach the cold surface, so there is nowhere for condensation to form. In the same application you get a high R-value per inch, and because the foam is rigid and bonded, it adds stiffness to the shell rather than hanging off it.
It also stays where it is put. Nothing to re-hang, nothing sagging between purlins in year three.
Working Around a Running Business
Most commercial jobs cannot stop for a week. We phase the work by bay or by section, agree access and downtime before we start, and mask and protect stock and equipment that has to stay in place. The work is loud and the space needs ventilating during application, so we plan those windows with you instead of turning up and finding out.
Barndominiums and Pole Barns
A barndominium is a metal shell that has to perform like a house, which is a harder problem than either one on its own. The envelope has to handle condensation like a farm building and hold temperature like a home. Closed-cell foam on the roof and walls is the usual answer, and it is a regular part of our work across Middle Tennessee.
